Claire Cote
Claire Cote is the Chief Operations Officer at New England Cancer Specialists (NECS), the largest
independent oncology practice in New England and affiliate member of Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Claire has been with NECS for almost 6 years.
Claire was born in Northern Ireland and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1986 at the age of 13. 10
years later, Claire moved to Boston where she met her husband – a Mainer. While working at NECS,
Claire received a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 48 and now shares her early detection stories
with groups in an effort to save lives. Claire spends most of her free time watching her three daughters
play field hockey in college and high school and planning her next trip to foreign climates.
